FAQs

Weight Wellness Center

Have a weight loss question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • Do you have to purchase WWC meal replacements and supplements?

No! Some plans do not require any meal replacements/supplements, they’re all grocery food-based.  Your Nutrition Educator/Coach (NEC) can help you decide which plan is right for you to get started with.

  • What if I want to add WWC meal replacements/supplements in the future?

You absolutely can!  We know that the key to success is finding what works.  Weekly coaching will help you and your NEC find what is working and what needs a little tweak and adjust accordingly.  WWC truly is not a one-size-fits-all approach! We’ll find what fits your lifestyle, preferences, and wallet!

  • What if I already have a scale – do I need to purchase the WWC Smart Balance Scale?

Right now – it’s our gift to you as part of the Smart Start 1 to 1 Program!  The reason we want our clients to use the Smart Balance scale is that it syncs right to our My Healthy Journey app, tracks your progress over time, and gives your NEC access to your historical data as well as today’s progress.  One less thing for you to manually track so you can focus on your program and goals.

  • Is the WWC or WWC KIDS program covered by my health insurance?

WWC and WWC KIDS do not participate in insurance.  Some of our clients have successfully used their FSA/HSA.  Each plan differs – call your insurer to find out more.

  • What if we’re trying to get pregnant but I want to lose weight while trying, can I still follow a WWC plan?

For some, being overweight can cause fertility issues, but weight loss can improve outcomes – for both partners! Whether trying to conceive, learning to eat healthfully during pregnancy, or looking to lose pregnancy weight, even if breastfeeding, WWC can help with a plan tailored to your needs and circumstances.

  • How do I talk about WWC KIDS with my child?

WWC KIDS was developed to fill the gap in educating parents /caregivers and children on their changing nutritional needs; something that our pediatricians cannot always address during a 15-minute visit.  Each birthday brings a change in the nutrition a child needs. Adding activities or dropping them does too.  We were never taught this as parents.  Pediatricians have approximately 8 hours of nutrition education during medical school, school nurses don’t have the time for individual guidance, but WWC KIDS does!  We consider ourselves Food Tutors, something a child can understand from school.  If your child ever needed extra help in any subject and asked for it from their teacher, you, or a tutor, they understand and can apply the same idea (with your help) to WWC KIDS.
